Our Weston Facility

Over 30 years packing commercial goods to exact standards

We recycle all cardboard and plastic and there is absolutely no waste on site. Our facility is located in Weston, centrally located between Maitland and Cessnock and adjacent to the Hunter Expressway.

Our speciality is collating and packing wine into cartons however, we have undertaken other specialised packing in the past. With a dedicated staff of 35, of which more than 30 are supported workers, we pack and send around 1000 cartons of wine per day or just under 250,000 each year.

The packing business owes its success to a wonderful, long standing arrangement with Australian largest and most successful wine club, Wine Selectors. A number of Wine Selectors staff also work at the Weston facility and the Endeavour Group team operates under a labour hire agreement that has been in place with Wine Selectors for several years.

We have implemented incredibly tight QA processes that ensure speed and accuracy – if one bottle is missing or incorrect we conduct a full audit and re-inspect every single carton that has been packed during that shift. Nothing is shipped unless we are 100% certain the order is correct. The team know the importance of being accurate without compromising safety.
On any shift there are a minimum of 22 supported staff working and they all undertake at least one shift per week. All tasks are rotated so the employees remain engaged and focused with the exception of driving the forklift which is always undertaken by a qualified, licensed staff member. For the most past, the workflow is managed by our supported employees because we have great training and excellent systems in place.

If you require goods to packed, sorted or assembled please contact us today. We offer accurate and reliable service at extremely competitive rates. 35 years working with Wine Selectors proves we have what it takes. Not only will you receive excellent service, but you are also helping someone with a disability be a productive member of our local community. The sense of purpose and satisfaction they gain from working as part of such a team is invaluable. We are very proud of the people who work for us and the service we provide and also very appreciative of the businesses who support us.

Our Partnership with Wine Selectors

Wine Selectors is Australia’s first and most successful wine club with 200,000 members who enjoy wines from 400 passionate regional producers delivered via a very successful mail order service that has proven popular for over 40 years.

Wine Selectors

The business was born from the Hunter Valley Wine Society and driven by founder, Greg Walls. In 1975 there were only a few dozen wineries in the area no real tourism industry. The Wine Society became a one-stop-shop to promote the wines of the area including many independents such as Tyrrell’s, Drayton’s, Tulloch Wines and Hungerford Hill.

Quality control was extremely important, so a tasting panel was formed with two original members, Greg Walls and Rob Jones. Since the beginning, the tasting panel has used Australian Wine Show judging standards and all wines are bronze medal or above. This expert testing panel has evolved several times since the 80’s to include winemakers Karl Stockhausen, Keith Tulloch and Dave Mavor and wine show judges, Trent Mannell, Chris Barnes and Nicole Gow.

To help Members learn more about their wines, tasting notes were included in deliveries from the early 80’s which provide detailed descriptions on the wines as well as the helpful food suggestions. At the turn of the century, Wine selectors launched an award-winning publication called Selector which has a readership of over 92,000 and features some of Australia’s best loved foodies.

The first customer service centre opened in Newcastle in 1994 and, in line with their commitment to providing exemplary service, this team is one of the few Australian-based contact centres where you are guaranteed to speak to a real person, never a machine!
